In-house handicapper
Billy
Billy's own reads. Each pick gets an ingest time and a SHA-256 fingerprint when it lands, picks that arrive after kickoff don't count, and nothing comes off the ledger. Graded against our own closing snapshot.
No picks on the ledger yet
The first one shows up here with its post time, ingest time and fingerprint, and it stays here, win or lose. No pick on a game means Billy passed. That counts as a decision too.
House rules for Billy's ledger
House rules
A pick counts only if it reaches us before kickoff. The server stamps the time; Billy doesn't.
Every pick file is fingerprinted with SHA-256 when it lands. Change one comma and the fingerprint changes.
Nothing is deleted or hidden. Losses stay up. A changed mind is a new pick that voids the old one, only before the old one kicks off, and both stay on the ledger.
A pick id is used once. A second file with the same id is rejected, so a pick can never be swapped out.
Results come from final scores. CLV compares the number Billy took with our own closing snapshot.
Units are risk amounts. Prices are what Billy logged at the book he named.
